Review queue and digest

The review queue holds changes that the system proposes. Nothing happens until a person approves. The digest summarises what changed on records you watch.

Review queue

  1. Open Review queue.
  2. Filter by Kind, Status (default Pending), and place.
  3. Open a row to read the draft. Approve it, edit and approve it, or reject it.

Kinds in the queue: parts transfers and parts purchases proposed by Maintenance (maintenance.parts.act), and trip swaps proposed by Fleet (fleet.trips.replan). You see only kinds you may decide.

Rules and limits

  • Statuses: Pending, Approved, Edited and approved, Rejected, Superseded, Expired.
  • A draft past its expiry becomes Expired. An hourly job does this.
  • A rejected proposal is not made again until its inputs change.
  • The list loads 50 rows at a time. Click Load more.

Digest

The digest is a daily or weekly summary of changes on records you watch and in your inbox since the last digest, grouped by kind. It shows No digest yet until the first one is made, and Nothing new for a quiet period. An item whose record you can no longer see shows "no longer open or visible to you". The digest is sent by email only if you choose that.
