Before you start
You need fleet.vehicles.manage. Without it the page says "You cannot add vehicles: Adding vehicles needs vehicle management. Ask an administrator." A vehicle class must exist. If not the page says "No mobile equipment class exists yet. An administrator adds one in the equipment register."
Start from
When copy sources or equipment exist, choose how to start:
| Choice | What it does |
|---|---|
| New | Enter the specification from the papers. |
| Copy a vehicle | Same make and model as one you have. It copies the specification. It never copies registration, name, VIN, model year, or documents. |
| Registered equipment | The vehicle is already in the equipment register. Choose the Equipment. It keeps class, home place, and history. The button reads Add to Fleet. |
