Hovera Build

Hovera Build runs production: how a product is made, what to make and when, the work on the shop floor, quality and trace.

What Build is

An engineer says how a product is made. A planner decides what to make and by when. The store brings the material. An operator makes the product at a station on the floor. Quality records faults. Build keeps the history of every order, lot and serial number.

Build needs Hovera Logistics. The material and the finished products are Logistics stock, and only Logistics posts stock. Build asks Logistics to post and shows the result. Hovera Maintenance is optional. Costs show only when your team switched costs on and you hold the permission costs.read.

The Build pages appear in the left menu when your team has the Build app and your role holds a Build permission.

Typical order of work

  1. The engineer sets up the make item, releases a BOM and releases a routing.
  2. The planner creates a production order, or accepts a proposal from material planning.
  3. The planner checks Clear to build and releases the order.
  4. The store reserves and kits the material in Logistics.
  5. The operator starts, reports and finishes each operation at the station.
  6. The last operation puts the finished product into stock.
  7. Quality records faults and decides what happens to the stock.
  8. The planner closes the order. Build returns the unused material and makes the cost final.
