Recommendations and resupply orders

The system proposes transfers from locations with stock to spare to locations at risk. Accepting a proposal makes a resupply order.

Before you start

Accepting or dismissing needs planning.order at both ends.

Steps

  1. Open Planning, then recommendations.
  2. Read each proposal with its reasons: run-out date, source excess, lead time, and flags such as late, partial, or needs procurement.
  3. Click Accept to make an order RSO-000001, or Dismiss. A dismissal holds for 30 days unless snoozed.
  4. The origin sees the order in its inbox and fulfils it with Transfer out. The form is pre-filled. If the destination holds no stock, use Dispatch.

Order states

Open, acknowledged, in progress, dispatched, completed, declined, cancelled. The origin can decline with a reason of 3 to 500 characters. A planner at both ends can cancel.

Result

The order follows the shipment until it completes.
