CSV imports

Load your data from CSV files. Always check a file first.

Before you start

You need one of inventory.import, inventory.catalog.manage, network.locations.manage, network.members.manage, or users.manage, for the import you use.

Steps

  1. Open Imports at your working location.
  2. Download the template for the import.
  3. Fill it in. Use UTF-8 with a header row.
  4. Click Check file. It is a dry run and writes nothing.
  5. Fix the reported rows and columns.
  6. Click Import.

Imports and order

Storage areas, then items, then opening balances. Also available: locations and members (email, location_code, role).

Limits

10 MB and 50,000 rows. An import is all or nothing.

Result

Check On hand against your opening balances.
