Results, approvals, and errors

This page explains what you see after you submit an operation.

Posted

The result shows Posted LOCATION · TX-000123 and "The stock has moved and the ledger is updated." The buttons are:

  • View in ledger: opens the transaction.
  • Another receipt, Another issue, and so on: clears the form.
  • Back to PO: returns to the purchase order.
  • View shipment: for operations linked to a shipment.

If you submit the same operation again, the result says "This was already posted; nothing was posted twice."

Waiting for approval

When the approval policy applies, the result is Waiting for approval: "A second person with the right permission must approve it before stock changes. Nothing has moved yet."

  • The page names who can approve: someone other than you who holds Approve inventory operations at the location, or Approve sensitive operations for SENSITIVE items.
  • Click Open approval to see the request. It also appears under Approvals.
  • The approver re-checks the permission and the stock. If the stock changed, the approval fails as stale and nothing posts. Submit a new operation.
  • You cannot approve your own request.

Defence installs gate more control classes than commercial installs. See Approval policy.
