Issues

An issue is a reported problem on equipment or a place. Issues replace the old work requests.

Before you start

What you wantYou need
See every issue at the placemaintenance.read, or maintenance.workorders.manage, or maintenance.workorders.execute

Acknowledge or certifymaintenance.workorders.manage or maintenance.workorders.execute

The issues list

  1. Open Work, then Issues.
  2. Read the summary line, for example "3 issues need action · 1 with equipment stopped."
  3. Choose a tab: Needs action (the default), All, or By equipment. Reporters see only their own reports under All.
  4. Narrow the list:
    • Search issues: type a number or title.
    • Place: shown when you work at more than one place.
    • Severity and Source chips. Click a chip again to clear it. Sources are Request, Inspection, Driver, Fault code, Sensor alert, Recall, Quality check, and Rule.
    • Clear filters resets all of them.
  5. Click Show more to load the next 100.

Each row shows the number, chips, title, equipment, place, reporter, time, linked work orders, and photo count. A coloured bar shows severity while the issue is open or in work.

Start one work order from several issues

  1. Tick the open issues. They must all be on one piece of equipment.
  2. In the bar at the bottom click Create work order ("Create job card" on defence).
  3. Check the Title (up to 200 characters) and the Priority. The priority is suggested from the worst severity, raised one step when the equipment is stopped.
  4. Click Create work order.

The system creates a corrective work order and opens it.

The issue page

The header shows the title, who reported it, and when. Use Watch to follow it. The panels are:

  • What was reported: description, place, equipment, "Is it still running?", the inspection it was found in, duplicates, the closing reason, linked work orders, and photos.
  • Actions: see below.
  • Timeline: every event, with time and person.
  • Comments.

Create work orderPlannerEnter Title and Priority. The issue must be open and on equipment.
Add to work orderPlannerPick an open, in-progress, or on-hold order on the same equipment. If none exists the page says "No open work orders on this equipment. Create a new one instead."
AcknowledgePlanner or technicianEnter a comment (up to 1000 characters, required). It tells the reporter the issue was seen.
Mark as duplicatePlannerChoose the issue it duplicates, on the same equipment or place. Add a note (up to 500) if you wish.
Close, won't fixPlannerGive a reason (up to 500, required). It stays on the timeline.

Certify a repair

When the work is complete, the panel Needs certification asks the repairer to sign.

  1. Choose the Outcome: Corrected or No correction needed.
  2. Draw the signature in Mechanic's signature (Repairer's signature on defence). It is required.
  3. Add a Note (optional), up to 500 characters.
  4. Click Certify repair. The button stays disabled until the signature is drawn.

Issues from drivers and inspections stay in work until someone certifies them. People who cannot certify see a warning that the repairer signs it off. After certifying, the page shows the outcome, who signed, when, and the signature.

When the last blocking issue on equipment ends, an alert offers Return to service.

States

Severity: Info, Minor, Major, Critical. Status: Open, In work, Resolved, Closed (won't fix or duplicate). A critical issue that blocks operation sets the equipment out of service.
