Catalogue

The catalogue holds items and the classes that control approvals and planning.

Parties

Parties are the people and units that stock is issued to. A party is a person or a unit with a unique reference. They do not sign in. Managing parties needs inventory.catalog.manage. A party that still holds items in custody cannot be archived: "this party still holds items in custody". A second party with the same reference is refused: "another party already uses this reference".
