Audit log

The audit log records who did what, when, and with what result. Records are append-only. A correction is a new record.

Before you start

You need audit.read. With location.audit.read you see only your locations.

Steps

  1. Open Setup, then Audit log.
  2. Filter by App, Actor, Action, Resource, From, and To. Dates cover whole local days. Click Clear filters to reset.
  3. Open a row to see the recorded time, actor, resource, request, event ID, and a Field / Before / After table.
  4. Click Export CSV to download the filtered records.

Rules and limits

  • The outcome is Recorded or Failed.
  • Credentials are never included.
  • Load more adds 100 rows each time, up to 1000. Narrow the filters or export to see more.

If something goes wrong

The From date is after the To date.Correct the dates.
Audit log unavailableReload. If it repeats, tell your administrator.
Export failedTry again with narrower filters.
