Fleet settings

Before you start

Changing settings needs fleet.manage for the whole team. With only fleet.read the page says "Read only: Changing these settings needs fleet management for the whole team." With neither, it says "You cannot see the settings".

Steps

1. Open Settings.
2. Change the fields below.
3. Click Save settings. Click Discard to drop your changes. The bar shows Unsaved changes. or All changes saved.

The page shows "Settings saved." If a field is wrong it says "Fix the highlighted fields first."

Timing estimates

Average speed (km/h), Road factor, and Time at a pickup and at a drop (minutes). The planner uses them for ETAs.

Driving hours

Most driving in a day (hours), Day starts at (in the place's time zone), Rest after driving for (hours), and Rest length (minutes). A plan over the limit warns only.

Documents and licences

For an expired vehicle document or driver licence choose Blocks the release or Warns only. Set Reminders (days before expiry), for example 30, 7, 0.

Queue and hand-over

Flag shipments waiting longer than (hours), Remind if not received after (hours), and Track e-way bills.

Fuel and cost allocation

CO2 per kWh of electricity (kg). When costs are on, the cost centre for chargebacks is the shipment's Destination (default) or Origin.

Pre-trip check

Tick Ask drivers for a pre-trip check. Under Checks list what to look at, each up to 80 characters. Press Enter to add a row. Move or remove rows. Click Add a check. A vehicle without its own form uses this list. An empty list says "No checks yet. Add what is looked at before leaving: tyres, lights, brakes, fluids, papers." You can also set the inspection report mode and how many days to keep reports.

Distances

Enter the distance in kilometres for a pair of places: From, To, Distance (km). Use Place name and the source filter to find pairs. You can remove only distances you entered.
