Send shipments

A shipment moves stock from your working location to another place. A Transfer goes to a stock-holding location and is in transit until it is received. A Dispatch goes to a locatio

The kind follows the destination you choose. Your approval policy can require a second approval first.

The shipment list

  1. Open Work, then Shipments.
  2. Choose Timeline (the default) or List with the View buttons.
  3. Filter by Direction (Inbound and outbound, Inbound, or Outbound), Status, and Timing (Overdue only). Click Clear filters.
  4. Each row shows the label, kind, status, route, lines, request or dispatch date, and ETA. Overdue is red and due today is amber. Click Show more for the next 100.

Send a shipment

  1. Click Transfer out. The From is your working location. To send from somewhere else, switch location first.
  2. Choose where it goes. If the destination holds stock the shipment is a Transfer out. If not, a banner says "This is a dispatch, not a transfer".
  3. Optional: set Expected arrival (optional) and Time (optional). The time is in your time zone and is midday if empty. A time needs a date.
  4. Optional: Carrier (optional) (up to 120 characters), Reference (optional) (up to 64), and Note (up to 1000).
  5. Under What leaves, choose the From storage area. Scan or add each item. Scanning an item again adds one. A serial label adds that serial.
  6. Click Transfer out (Dispatch for a dispatch).
  7. Confirm "Transfer out to CODE?" It says the stock leaves now and is in transit until the destination receives it. A dispatch says nobody receives it there. A SENSITIVE line adds "It includes SENSITIVE items."

If the shipment goes by Hovera Fleet, the button reads Request transport. The confirmation says nothing leaves stock yet: the stock is held for transport and posts when Fleet's driver collects it. See Fleet.

Result

The page shows "Dispatched SHP · FROM → TO". The buttons are View SHP, Transfer another, View in ledger, and CODE on the map. For Fleet it shows "Transport requested for SHP".

From a resupply order

Open Transfer out from a resupply order. The destination is fixed ("Set by ORDER") and the lines are filled with what remains. The page can say "ORDER cannot be fulfilled", "ORDER is sent from CODE" (with Switch to CODE), or "Resupply order not found".

The shipment page

The header shows the label, the kind, the status, on-time, and Hovera Fleet if relevant. The actions that you may use appear as buttons. A table shows each line with Dispatched, Received, Short, and Outstanding, and a timeline links to the ledger.
