The dispatch board

The dispatch board is the Fleet home page. It shows what is waiting, planned and moving, and what needs a person now.

What this is

The board has four parts:

  • A headline sentence, for example "1 late trip and 2 shipments waiting too long need you."
  • Six key figures.
  • Needs attention: a ranked list of problems, each with one action.
  • Five lanes: trips and shipments by stage.

The board refreshes by itself. Use the refresh control to refresh at once. A line shows the time of the last update. If a refresh fails, the board keeps the last figures.

Before you start

You need fleet.read or fleet.trips.plan. A planner (fleet.trips.plan) sees the Awaiting transport lane, the Waiting too long figure and every draft and open trip. A reader sees the trips of the last two days and the next eight days at the places they are able to read.

Key figures

Each figure opens the matching list.

FigureMeaning
Trips movingTrips in progress, and how many shipments are aboard
LateReleased or running trips with a stop not reached 60 minutes after its planned arrival
Waiting too longShipments in the queue longer than the queue limit (default 24 hours). Planners only
Vehicles freeActive vehicles in service that are on no released or running trip
Not availableInactive vehicles, and vehicles out of service, in maintenance or decommissioned
On time todayTrips finished today, as a percentage, and how many finished late

Needs attention

The list ranks these problems, most urgent first:

  1. Dispatch failed: Logistics refused to dispatch a shipment when the driver left a stop.
  2. Vehicle down: the vehicle of a released or running trip is not available. The action is Swap vehicle.
  3. Late: a trip is late.
  4. Past needed-by: a waiting shipment is past its needed-by date.
  5. Start passed: a draft trip is past its planned start and is not released.
  6. Waiting too long: a shipment waits longer than the queue limit.

The list shows five items. Choose Show more for the rest. The Inbox link opens your Hovera inbox when you have inbox.read. Open Fleet inbox items also appear in the list.
