Steps
- Open the trip. The card Finish the trip shows Started at and asks for the end reading.
- Enter Odometer now. If the vehicle tracks engine hours, enter the hours too.
- Tap Finish trip.
- Optional: do the Post-trip inspection. The summary says "optional". After you submit it the page says "Post-trip inspection done. Thank you."
Result
The page shows "TRIP finished." and the card Trip finished with the date and "N km driven". A cancelled trip shows "This trip was cancelled."
If the distance is much further than planned, the page says "That is much further than planned. Check the reading, then tap again to confirm." and the button reads Confirm and finish.
If something goes wrong
| Message | Action |
|---|---|
| Enter the odometer reading. | Type the reading. |
| The reading cannot be below the start (X km). | Correct the reading. |
| Leave or skip every stop before you finish. | Depart or skip the open stops. |
| Hand over or unload everything on board before you finish. | Finish the open consignments. |
Other things on the trip page
- A card shows E-way bill needed or "N e-way bills needed" when your team tracks e-way bills and one is missing.
- Next stops shows the route with Route in Google Maps. Done lists the stops you finished. The server never calls a map service. Your phone opens its own maps app.
No signal
Hovera does not keep a queue on the phone. Each tap goes to the server. If the network fails, the app retries three times with the same request key. A retry is never recorded twice. When there is no answer the page says "Not sent. No answer from the server. Tap the same button again when you have signal. It will not be recorded twice." The buttons are never disabled for being offline. A refused tap shows a red message and your next tap is a new request.
