Move stock

Move changes the storage area of stock inside one location. Use it to put stock into or out of quarantine, or to reorganise a warehouse. To send stock to another location, use a sh

Before you start

  • You need inventory.move at your working location.
  • Neither storage area may be frozen by a count, and both must be able to hold stock.

A move takes no reason and no party.

Steps

  1. Open Move (M).
  2. Scan or pick the From storage area and the To storage area.
  3. Scan the item in Add item.
  4. Complete the line:
    • Quantity item: enter Quantity.
    • Lot item: choose the Lot from the source area.
    • Serial item: scan each serial number.
  5. To use different areas on one line, open Change storage areas on that line.
  6. Click Move stock, or press Ctrl+Enter.

Example: move 10 units of lot L2411 from MAIN to the quarantine area QUAR after an inspection finding. Scan MAIN and QUAR, scan the item, choose lot L2411, enter 10, and submit.

Rules

  • You can move stock out of a quarantine area. You cannot issue it from there.
  • Expired stock can be moved.
  • Custody stock cannot be moved. Return it first.

Result

The system shows "Posted LOCATION · TX-000123". Click Another move or View in ledger.

If something goes wrong
