Run and close an order

The order page

The title shows the number, the status, and a Late tag. Banners show A newer revision exists, On hold: REASON, Why it is late, and Material request: STATUS. The panels show operations, material, labour, checks, non-conformance reports, costs (when visible), postings, genealogy, and history.

Actions

Action buttons show only if you hold build.orders.plan at the order's place.

  • The system also holds an order for material automatically when an operation is ready and the pick material is not reserved. The order then shows "Held for material". An administrator can switch this off in settings.
  • Close freezes the build record and the cost. It cannot be undone.
  • Cancel releases reserved material and returns anything issued. An order that already received output cannot be cancelled.

Change the receiving area

Click Change next to the receiving area while the order is released, in progress, or on hold. Choose the area and click Save. After the first receipt the area is fixed: "Output of this order has already been received into stock, so its receiving area is fixed now." A failed receipt can still be retried into another area under Postings.

Postings

The Postings panel lists each attempt to post stock to Logistics with its status: posted, failed, pending, or awaiting approval. Click Retry on a failed one.

  1. Open Retry the posting.
  2. Retry as it is, or correct the storage area or lot code first. Receipts take an area, a lot code for lot items, and serials. Returns, scrap, and backflush take an area.
  3. Confirm. The stock is never posted twice.

If something goes wrong
