Before you start
You need build.read or build.orders.plan to view. Running the schedule, moving, and locking need build.orders.plan.
Read the board
The summary reads "Run N · TIME · RULE · N late orders on this board". Before the first run it says "Not scheduled yet: run the schedule to place released work."
The toolbar has Place, work centre, From, Days, Earlier, Today, Later, Dispatch rule (the place default unless you change it), Timeline or List, and zoom Fit, Days, Shifts, Hours. Capacity per day is shown. Machines that are down and Maintenance windows are shaded. A late bar is red and gives the rule that made it late. Work past the horizon appears under "Not on the board: past the schedule horizon". Lengthen the horizon in settings, add capacity, or move other work.
Run the schedule
- Click Run schedule. It is disabled while you have unsaved moves: "Save or discard your moves first".
- The page shows "Schedule run N done" and "OPS operations placed by RULE; LATE late."
The schedule also reruns after events, at most once a minute for each plant. If a run is active the page says "A run is already in progress. Wait a moment, then reload the board."
Move an operation (what-if)
- Drag a bar along its row, or open it and click Move.
- In the dialog set the Start (15-minute slots). Choose a machine if the centre has several. Click Try this move.
- A banner says "What if: N move(s), not saved" and shows "On time:" and "Made late:".
- Click Save and lock, or Discard.
A saved move locks the operation at that time and it stays on its work centre. The page shows "N move(s) saved". A started or finished operation cannot be moved.
If the schedule ran while you were moving, the page says "The schedule ran again while you were moving". Your moves are kept. Check them and save again.
Lock and unlock
Open a bar and click Lock here or Unlock. A locked bar says "The schedule keeps it at this time on each run." An unlocked one says "The next run may place it elsewhere." If there is no slot, the page says "This operation has no planned slot to lock to. Run the schedule first." Save or discard what-if moves before you change locks.
Delivery check
- Click Delivery check.
- Choose the Item, enter the Quantity, and set Needed by. It cannot be before today.
- Click Check.
The result says "Can be made by DATE" or "Not by DATE", with the earliest finish, the bottleneck, the reasons, and the basis. The basis is capacity only, so material is not checked, or capacity and material. The check schedules the quantity after work already promised. It moves nothing and saves nothing.
